DOTB is a new programme of events and support created by the DCF. We have joined up with partners in games, brand marketing, new technology, AI and VR to run a series of sessions over the coming months to connect directors with new contacts, new thinking and new ways of using your directing skills, alongside your film and TV work. We plan to run in-person as well as online events, to help open up cross-sector networking opportunities for screen directors.

Our fast-changing media landscape means that many directors have to adapt, learn new skills and seek work outside our comfort zones. Matt’s background is rooted in Bafta and RTS winning broadcast factual and entertainment shows such as Derren Brown, The Last Leg and Stand Up To Cancer. He has directed, produced and pitched formats for all major networks including BBC, C4, Netflix, Nat Geo and Discovery. ​In the brand world he has continued to create and deliver effective, award-winning storytelling across all platforms from YT shows, social campaigns, brand films, commercials and more. Matt’s mantra is to create meaningful time well spent with brands.

Liz is an award-winning Producer and Director with over 20 years in production. Liz has led on primetime broadcast documentaries for BBC, C4 and ITV as well as above the line commercial content for some of the biggest brands in the world. Now Managing Director at Mediazoo, Liz is driving forward a fresh direction at the agency navigating clients into the brave new waters of ambitious, audience first, branded content.
